Job Description & Qualification

The Department of Finance at the Miami Herbert Business School is seeking candidates for faculty positions starting as early as July 2025. These are tenure track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor positions.

Positions carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research, and service. Preference will be given to candidates with a track record of publications in top-tier finance and related fields or ample evidence of the ability to publish in such journals. We welcome researchers in all areas of finance. We also welcome those researchers who can work in multiple areas including finance.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must have a Ph.D. (or near completion) in finance or economics. Successful candidates must demonstrate potential for research leading to publications in top journals and effective teaching at the university level. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and will be competitive with top business schools.

ABOUT THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance faculty are actively engaged in research, and in recent years, members of our department have published their research in top journals in finance, economics, real estate, accounting, and management. Department members are also active in the editorial process of numerous journals. The department maintains an active seminar series and an internal brown bag series, and hosts the annual Miami Behavioral Finance Conference.
