The Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder is hiring one Assistant Teaching or Associate Teaching Professor in the Finance Division for Fall 2025. The Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor will also be appointed as the inaugural Michael A. Klump Endowed Teaching Professor.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be:
We are seeking a person with the ability to teach a variety of applied real estate courses, including but not limited to case analysis, real estate development, and real estate modeling and finance courses. The Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor will be required to teach seven classes per year, with possible assignments at the undergraduate and graduate levels, throughout the academic year. We expect that the new faculty member will have 3-4 course preparations in their first year, and fewer thereafter. In their role, the Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor will be involved in curriculum development, course creation, and content delivery.
The position also requires engagement with the Michael A. Klump Center for Real Estate. Possible forms of engagement may include support for case competitions; the implementation of extracurricular and experiential programming of the Center; participation in industry events; and applied research in collaboration with the Executive Director and Faculty Director.

• Commercial real estate industry-related experience (e.g., valuation, development, financing/underwriting)
• Hiring at the Associate Teaching Professor level requires three years of experience teaching real estate-related undergraduate and/or master’s level courses

What We Can Offer:
Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor Contract: This is a three-year, 100% contract subject to reappointment. The salary range for the Assistant Teaching Professor is $128K-$135K, and the salary range for the Associate Teaching Professor is $135K-$143K. Additional benefits include FDA, computer allowance, and up to $2K in relocation moving expenses if moving from beyond a 50-mile radius from CU.
Michael A. Klump Endowed Teaching Professor: The Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor will also be appointed as the inaugural Michael A. Klump Endowed Teaching Professor. The compensation for this Professorship is (i) annual salary supplement of $15K, (ii) a dedicated budget for applied research and development of teaching materials, and a one-course release (reducing the teaching load to 6 courses). The endowed position is a three-year appointment that may be considered for renewal. The renewal processes for the Assistant/Associate Teaching Professor and the Endowed Teaching Professorship are separate.
