Lecturer in Accounting (Non-Tenure Track):

The Turner School of Accountancy in the Belk College of Business at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking to fill a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer position in Accounting, for an August 2025 start date. This position is full-time and non-tenure track. Candidates should be able to educate students in various accounting courses including either financial accounting or accounting information systems and one or more of the following: managerial, auditing and tax. Prior teaching experience, especially in large classroom settings, is preferred. The teaching load is four courses per semester. In addition to the teaching responsibilities, qualified candidates must be prepared to provide leadership in student organizations, serve on committees, and engage in sufficient professional activities to maintain currency in the field.

Qualifications:

This position requires candidates to possess at least a Master’s degree in accounting, or MBA with concentration in accounting with a focus on financial accounting, managerial accounting, or tax, and with at least 18 hours of graduate accounting coursework. Individuals selected for this position will be expected to meet, and maintain, professional and/or academic qualifications as defined in the Academic HR Procedures Handbook at https://provost.charlotte.edu/academic-budget-hr/academic-personnel-procedures-handbook/. CPA or CMA preferred.
