Abstract

In this article Professor Larson reviews two books regarding euthanasia in America - 'Merciful End: The Euthanasia Movement in Modern America' by Ian Dowbiggin and 'Forced Exit: The Slippery Slope from Assisted Suicide to Legalized Murder' by Wesley J. Smith. Professor Larson summarizes and comments on both books as well as the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1997 opinions in Washington v. Glucksburg and Vacco v. Quill.
