Abstract

With a staggering percentage of rape and other sexual offenses facing juveniles in delinquency and criminal courts, counsel must be aware of the various treatment options currently available to best represent these clients following adjudication. This article reviews current literature and research on such programs and it raises concerns about limited funding and group dynamics of some treatment modalities. It also addresses the severe impact of sex offender registration laws on this population.
