Dialéctica insalubre del amo y el esclavo (An Unhealthy Master/Slave Dialectic)

Abstract

Spanish abstract: La 'Fenomenología del Espíritu' de Hegel proporciona un análisis crucial, a la vez que limitado, del origen y naturaleza interaccionales de la subjetividad humana. Al describir la relación de reconocimiento mutuo del amo y del esclavo como tal amo y tal esclavo, Hegel proporciona una interesante descripción del comportamiento y de la identidad como una dialéctica en la que un sujeto está influido por la consciencia que el otro tiene de él. Pero su análisis tiene serias limitaciones debidas, sobre todo, a su concepción idealista (idealmente aislacionista) de la relación entre el amo y el esclavo.

English abstract: Hegel's 'Phenomenology of Spirit' provides a crucial albeit limited analysis of the interactional origin and nature of human subjectivity. In describing the relationship of mutual recognition of the master and the slave as such, Hegel provides an interesting description of behavior and identity as a dialectic relationship in which one subject is influenced by another's consciousness of the same. But his analysis suffers from severe limitations due, above all, to his idealistic conception (an ideally isolationist conception) of the relationship between the master and the slave.
