Abstract

This article proposes developing an Integrated Legislation Drafting Environment (ILDE). It argues that such a development assumes vital im-portance in facilitating the legislative drafting process in the era of digitalization. This innovative environment can assist the drafter in handling large amounts of information and can substantially contribute to improving the quality of legislation. While integrated tools have gained widespread adoption across domains, legislation and regulation drafting has yet to embrace this concept, as drafters predominantly rely on traditional word processing tools. This article draws inspiration from a comprehensive examination of the essential components of professional integrative platforms, specifically emphasizing low-code and no-code tools, to outline the fundamental prerequisites for ILDE platforms. The article constitutes a significant contribution to advancing digital legislation quality by elucidating the characteristic requirements for developing sophisticated digital instruments to enhance the legislative drafting process. These platforms should be tailored to address the intricate logical connections, constraints, and regulations innate in the drafting procedure, thus enhancing its overall efficacy. Harnessing innovating artificial intelligence capabilities into ILDE can contribute to the quality of legislation, and improve efficiency, accuracy, collaboration, and accessibility, revolutionizing the digital era's legislative process.
